Over the weekend I was home alone and rented Rachel Getting Married and have two things to say about the film 1) Anne Hathaway was a force to be reckoned with and in any non-Winslet year, would have won the Oscar fo’ sho’ 2) I absolutely flipped for the Indian themed wedding at the end of the movie, particularly the sari print tent. It seriously looked like the most fun wedding ever with all the bright colors, fantastic music and family dysfunction.
I scoured the internet for stills from the wedding in the movie but found nothing- I did however find the tent company that provided the tent- feast your eyes on these!!!

I can barely stand the beauty of these and can imagine there is a rather hefty price tag to accompany them.
What was that you say? You need amazing invitations to match your jaw dropping tent? No sweat- check out these from All Wedding Cards- each is less than $2 per card and are gorgeous (check the site to see what the inserts all look like!)

those tents are just stunning. I still need to rent that movie, maybe today.
Those Raj tents are fantastic!
I found their website a few years ago when I was working on a remodel with a Moroccan twist.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to convince my clients to use the tent by their pool, but I’m still hopeful that I will get to use one of those beauties in the future.
Beautiful post.

One of the most fun weddings I’ve attended was an Indian wedding…and one of my favorite bridesmaid “dresses” was a gorgeous sari from India! If only I had another occasion I would definitely wear it again!
Simply beautiful.
Gorgeous!
I keep hearing great things about that movie; I need to check it out.
Have you seen Monsoon Wedding? It is my favorite Indian movie about.. Indian weddings! I so badly want to have an Indian themed wedding but I’m not sure how well one of those tents would fit in with the Pmfrt countryside! Or the fact that I’m 0% Indian! great post. :)
I just had a big Indian wedding last summer (over 600 guests). It was really exciting because while I’m used to all the beautiful colours and fabrics, my Italian other half and many friends from New York weren’t. We had two tents, lots of fabric, henna and jewels everywhere! I think it would be a really fun idea to do as bridal shower if you don’t necessarily want to commit the idea to your entire wedding.
Wow! I think I was a Bollywood star in a past life. I love all things Indian. These tents are amazing. What a fab post!!
Those tents are beautiful!!
Stunning! I enjoyed the movie tremendously and love that you found out all the details about the tent they used. I am on the lookout for a great tunic in a similarly bright hue–this is great inspiration, as always.
Makes you want to get married again just to have a wedding under one of those tents. Fantastic!
Gorgeous post on the Indian Wedding and those amazing tents! Good work, you nailed that post. Rushing out to get the movie. ;)
