I am going to be acquiring an old hitchcock antique dresser for my upcoming move…and that is exactly what I was planning to do! I love the antique look, but I wanted to freshen it up with some cool Anthropologie knobs…Great post!

The two best things you can do to freshen a piece of furniture is paint it or change the hardware.

I’m not sure where I saw this idea, but someone used vintage brooches and earrings (in the colors of the room–they were mismatched) as drawer pulls. It worked out really well for that room — you have to make the jewelry fit the surroundings as well.
