love this. sometimes you just need a “moody quote” to feel understood.

Down in the dumps is right. Stupid recession.

I’m afraid I can’t commiserate: we’re having spring-like weather in the Southeast. But, I do love Sara Bareilles, whom you quoted here. “Little Voice” is a great album.

The best way I know to get out of the dumps is to play with little kids…if you have time, try to volunteer at an elementary school. Sometimes that element of play is just really important to have in your life.

Watching the market collapse today certainly put a damper on my mood.

Like a friend of mine in college always said, February is the longest month. Especially in New England.

I’m totally feeling the same way. They weather has been gross in NY this week. Today it was a constant shade of gray all day.

Then we all had a meeting at work where we were all told no one is safe you might all be fired soon.

    Lovely.

I hate where I am now anyway, but the paycheck is helpful while I get my decorating business up and running.

So yes. I totally get where you are coming from.

I would have to add “studying for two finals on Valentine’s day weekend” to that equation.

    The worst

You've got that right.I try not to loiter in "Pityville" too long, but it's hard not to be terribly worried. I have son's graduating from college soon & jobs ops don't look bright.
I never loose hope,as there is always tomorrow. That is until I worry there won't be that either!
