What I’m Loving: Turquoise and Deep Orange

I’ve got this color combo on the brain today- I’m using it for a beach house bedroom I’m working on and when I opened my House Beautiful (finally) last night this bedroom designed by John Willey made we SWOON. Loving the slightly green tint to the Benjamin Moore Lido Green walls and the amazing curtains done in China Seas fabric with the chocolate trim!

This room reminded me a lot of these Jaime Young lamps, which I was ALSO discussing with someone yesterday!

  1. These are my favorite two colors too! I used them in my family room and it makes it so much fun to come home everyday and see the fun orange and bright turquoise all over.

    Great post!!

  2. I love this combo as well. I’ve used turquoise before but haven’t been able to get the orange in…..Hope you post photos of the room you’re working on.
    cheers -s

  3. this is so weird… i was going to email you today to ask if you could help me find this fabric in this room! and here you are posting about it. i’m in love with this room. maybe LindsB can pass along her suggestion for fabric, too. i painted the guest room this color months ago but couldn’t find the perfect orange fabric. thanks, erin!

  4. I love these colors together!!!Can you please help me design my wedding with these colors…I chose these and my entire family as well as fiance think I am crazy for liking this combination.

  5. In Austin, Texas we have no objection to using deep orange paired with anything for home decor! UT orange (burnt orange) is here to stay.

These rooms however take it to a more sophisticated place, and I am loving it!

  6. It’s a great combination…reminds me of Tiffany’s and Hermes boxes, which of course are awesome things (preferably full)!

  7. I absolutely love this bedroom. Totally inspired … now I have to make my bedroom look like that too. Sometimes I feel that it is hard to find the perfect burnt orange fabrics and accessories.

  8. Thanks for the inspiration. I’ve been hunting for the perfect color to use as an accent in my espresso/burnt orange/gold living room with pale sage walls. Turquoise is it! Genius!

  9. I am on board! If you check out the last picture of my closet makeover post you can see my bedding which is currently in this color combo. I also switch out the turquoise for a grey duvet which is also gorgeous.

fun fact: the geometric patterned throw on the wood bench was rented from us for the shoot…. which they did ages ago! I had almost forgotten all about it.

  10. …wow…I just painted my bedroom in this palete…luv it. trendy, trendy, trendy…
