This one comes courtesy of Gwynnie (as in Paltrow, we are on a first name basis now, being BFF and all…) and her GOOP newsletter (still hatin’ the name, sorry Gwynnie). Anyways, she listed her favorite places to stay and eat in Paris and this place, the Hotel Particulier Montmartre looked so kooky and charming and quintessentially French that I had to post the images!

I Know, the eyes on the ceiling are CREEPY- but that’s a suite, which I couldn’t afford anyways, so I’ll bypass that and have wine in that killer garden instead!

I’m absolutely obsessed with Paris and had the very fortunate experience of getting to live there for a little while. I LOVE the shots of this hotel and think it’s VERY chic and cool, would totally stay there, in a heartbeat. Not trying to be a total pessimist, but do think Gwynnie actually stays there? (Apparently I’m on a first name basis too) In the sort of obscure, off the beaten path, dark, kinda dangerous at night, Montmartre? Or does she stay on George V at the Four Seasons, or Hotel Costes, or the Ritz, or something more celeb like? I mean.. I think if I had her budget, I’d be straight up in a 5 star suite, but who knows, maybe that’s not Gwynnie’s style? Just wondering !?!

Erin, I remember a previous post on your blog about Paris. I know you are really looking forward to traveling there! I picked up this book the other day that you should check out (if you haven’t already)…it’s entitled Taschen’s Paris, and it is filled with beautiful photos of the city and information on the best shopping, lodging and dining. It’s a fab coffee table book!
