When interviewed last week about my personal style I really did not know how to answer. I am all over the map with the way I dress- I have strong preppy roots but have grown into a more modern, funky version of that. But I find getting dressed to be such fun- you can be a different type of person every single day if you want to! However, lately every time I see Reese Witherspoon in a paparazzi shot I think “she looks amazing”- even in just a tee, scarf, jeans and flats or walking the dog! She mixed preppy and modern really well- in a very loose, cute way. Of course, she always looks fabulous when walking the red carpet (who can forget the Oscars when she showed up with those hot bangs and that long purple Nina Ricci number? Suck on it, Ryan Phillipe), but she obviously has great personal style when dressing herself- which not all celebs do!

1) skinny dark wash jeans and lots of long cardigans.
2) Classic blouses with modern, new details
(I bought the blouse on the left in hot pink- it’s delish!)
3) Cropped jackets.
4) Feminine shift dresses.
5) A-line skirts and the classic black blazer
6) Flats and big, luscious leather bags!

3) Pretty scarves to add color
Reese LOVES her Van Cleef and Arpels Alhambra necklaces- for those who can’t afford to drop a few grand on one- here’s a “imitation” :)

J. Crew has the most fabulous fall line this year. The catalog is like a treasure trove! The dress and outerwear collections are really good..
What a great post! I was just looking through her Paris fashion spread in November’s Vogue last night. I liked where she said something to the effect, “Every once in a while you’re hit with moments when you think, Really? This is my life? How lucky am I?”

As always I completely agree Erin. I love Reese’s style. She always look great whether it’s on the red carpet or walking her dogs. I always love her hair do as well. I was obsessed with her hair style from Sweet Home Alabama. I love all of your outfit picks. Now I just wish that I either had buckets of money or JCREW decided to start pricing like forever 21.
