From Garage to Glam Guest House

I pulled this from my “holy crap I love it” file in my desk. Yes, I really have one. This couple had a dumpy old garage perched on a perfect piece of land overlooking the water in Maine. So they turned it into the cutest most stately little guest house- look at that porch, the stone work, the pillars, the creeping vines- it looks like it’s been there ages. I want to go visit these people! I bet they have a constant stream of guests with a place to crash that looks like this!

Wow, it’s amazing what someone with a little vision and imagination can think up! I would never have looked at that garage and envisioned a gorgeous guest house.

This is incredible. I love places inset in groves, especially by water. Is the garage door just for show now, or does it open up right into the living room?

Love the outside and the little path down to the water. Fun place!
