Morning Rant.

Just had to say it.
I never thought I’d say this, but I am hating on this season’s Project Runway. The “cast” is SO unlikable it’s ridiculous. They all are trying so hard to be so cool it makes me cringe. Like Suede referring to himself in the third person consistently, creepy super tan Blayne and his “‘liciousness”, Keith and his J.LO- at-the-VMA’s-with-P. Diddy bandana headband. UGH.
I may actually not watch this season.
Or at least mute it until the runway part every week!
So sad.

You could just skip three or four weeks, until they have eliminated the aforementioned irritating contestants. I’m pretty sure they are going home quickly (fingers crossed).

I do like Kenley and Kelli so far.

Could not agree more. So many posers, all trying to come up with their own “fierce” moment of 2008, but it’s so forced. Ugh. Suede needs to shut up — forever!!

Thank you for mentioning the Suede in third person irritation because i want to reach into the tv and say “LOOK, it was funny once but now your are just getting creepy like it is something you REALLY do all the time so DROP it.” The girls are the real serious ones and NONE have personalities except for the leatherhead and her thick NEW YAWK accent is just a killer. Anyway, rant away. It is deserved and to quote Christian a “hot mess” and so NOT fierce. I miss him!

How could I forget mentioning Stella!
    “Whaaaaat. I like leathaaaahhhh”.
    Awful!

jen thinks suede is annoying, too. jen hopes suede gets eliminated, because jen thinks project runway will be easier to watch if suede weren’t on it.

Thank you for validating what I’ve been feeling. I actually turned it off last night after Suede was trying to get Tim to say “holla” and Bravo followed up with one of their quizzes asking if some “holla at cha” phrase should replace “make it work”.

The “cast” seems to make drama for the sake of getting camera time.

The little drama queen moments used to be charming…remember when Jay pretended to strangle Austin for getting on Page Six in season one? It was hilarious and clearly just two guys being their over-the-top selves. Now, half the people on there are trying to be “that guy” on the show.

You know, I HATE to say it, because I live for the show, but you are right. I do like the two African-American chicks, and I’m interested to see what Bettie Paige chick does, but Suede – he’s straight up Jimmy from Seinfeld (“Jimmy likes Elaine..”) “Tan” Blayne is just straight up scary, though I did like when Tim Gunn said “Holla at your boy.”

Where’s the Santino talking about Tim Gunn at Red Lobster or costume designer Chris when you need them? I think the awareness of being on television is way up for these people as well.

  8. single/certain says:

totally. and not to mention talent; i’m not seeing a lot of it. i haven’t LOVED much yet.

  9. Becky says:

I’m so glad it’s not just me. I pretty much just watch the runway. And they are all so negative and mean. I’m hoping the posers go soon. Although I thought Christian was the most annoying last season and he never went away.

Definitely not as great as past seasons, and there’s already way too much crying. I’m still waiting fir someone to emerge as a clear talent, but I don’t think it’s going to happen.

I’m from NY, but I can’t take listening to Stella.

usually I already have one person in the group that I hope wins… I’m having no luck this time. Suede is creepy, Stella is….odd. the tanorexic needs help. It’s all just a bit much.

Where’s a good Rami when I need him?
