Before and After: Kitchen Renovation "Lite"

Renovating your kitchen into a whole new bright, shiny space does not always require you demo what exists in your home now. Take a look at my friend/client’s kitchen that I did a bit of consulting on. She used what she had and simply improved upon it in small ways for BIG results! A couple cabinet doors were switched out with glass ones, a larger cabinet installed above the microwave, a small wine rack installed above the fridge, crown molding was added to the top and bottom of the cabinets, everything coated in a glossy white paint, new hardware, a gorgeous white subway tile back splash and some bead board wrapped around the bar area. A new wall paint was chosen and the interior of the glass cabinets was painted a pretty dusty sea blue to compliment the valance she made (she is VERY crafty, puts Martha to shame!) The finishing touch, a fabulous Chilewich rug (I adore them and it brings the wall, cabinets and floor all together!) A brand new kitchen that is simply gorgeous!

What a difference! That kitchen has been trandformed from a basic, stock one to a totally custom oasis. I would love to know what the paint color on the walls is…
